A few years ago my husband, Jim, was diagnosed as having had two strokes. One of the strokes affected the front left lobe of his brain. The strokes did not appear with physical symptoms, but he had significant cognitive deficiencies, including short term memory loss, difficulty in starting tasks and making decisions, and failure recognizing social cues. He also struggled with some confusion. As we were navigating this medical crisis, I was speaking to Brenda, Play Attention Coach, about Jim's diagnosis and stuggles. Brenda explained the program and recommended Jim start right away to improve his situation.
Together we decided to try the therapy two times weekly. After several weeks, I began noticing small improvements in Jim's cognitive health. At about the three month mark into the treatment, Jim had a significant change. It was like a lightbulb was turned on in his brain and his cognitive situation tuned a corner. Focus, understanding and the executive function of his brain improved significantly. Several years later, after a 15 month break, Jim is working full time at a company for which he has been working for over 40 years, performing a technically challenging job through speaking, teaching and helping clients. Jim is still currently using Play Attention to keep his brain focused, continuing to improve and create new pathways of change within his brain.
We are so grateful for this program and find it has been a game changer in both of our lives, helping Jim to continue to thrive, through cgallenging times, seeing healing in his brain, and giving us daily hope.
An added bonus, as a participant in the program myself, is a sharper and more focused brain for me, as well!
